Microsoft Loop Announces New Features
Microsoft Loop is a transformative co-creation experience that brings teams, content and tasks together across tools and devices. It helps users think, plan and create, and provides tools to make work simpler and faster.
Designed for the way people work, Loop provides an easy-to-use app to capture ideas and capture task lists in real time. Users can also collaborate in real-time to comment and react, and get only the notifications that matter most.
Loop uses AI to deliver clarity on a project’s progress, providing updates on completed tasks, upcoming deadlines and more. AI-driven updates can also highlight recent changes made by team members in apps like Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
Microsoft is also adding new features to help users stay organized and productive in the Loop app. For example, Copilot in Loop will be able to summarise the mountain of information that can pile up on Loop pages and workspaces. There are also new templates to use for capturing meetings in Loop, and a mobile app that can let users view and edit workspaces and pages on the go.
Another new feature is the ability to turn any element in a Loop page into a Loop component, which can be embedded into other M365 apps like Outlook and Teams chat. The component can then be edited in those apps, and any changes will be reflected in the Loop app as well. Currently, Loop components can be copied and pasted from the web app into apps like OneNote and Whiteboard for Teams, with additional integrations coming soon.
